STRATEGY

The campaign strategy was built around a social-first event mindset, where the tournament was designed not merely as a series of sporting matches, but as a content engine that continuously generated conversations across social media. Rather than promoting an event after it happened, TV360 designed the entire event journey to deliver an experience that was both exciting on-site and highly shareable online, ensuring that every offline touchpoint had the potential to become engaging digital content. The tournament was positioned as a national student sporting event that embodied three layers of value: athletic competition, school pride, and memorable moments worth sharing with an entire generation. To achieve this, the campaign followed a three-phase strategy: building anticipation before the event, amplifying real-time engagement throughout the competition, and extending social conversations long after the final match. Every game, cheer, and on-site activation was intentionally optimized to generate short-form videos, check-in photos, reactions, highlights, and user-generated content (UGC). TV360 served as the central hub connecting live broadcasting, audience interaction, and social amplification, transforming the platform into more than just a place to watch the tournament - it became where students gathered to follow updates, discuss key moments, and immerse themselves in the excitement together. At its core, the strategy aimed to transform the tournament from a standalone sporting event into a community-driven social phenomenon, where success was measured not only by attendance but also by its reach, conversations, and shareability across digital platforms.

INSIGHT

For Gen Z, an event only feels truly significant when it exists beyond its physical venue and becomes highly visible across social media. Students do not simply want to attend or watch a tournament; they want to immerse themselves in the atmosphere, express pride in their university, experience the excitement in real time, and, most importantly, share that they were part of the moment. Collegiate sports naturally fulfill these needs because they represent far more than athletic competition - they embody teamwork, school identity, and a sense of belonging to a larger community. Moments on the field, roaring crowds, university rivalries, and breakthrough performances all provide emotionally compelling content that perfectly matches students' social behaviors of recording, posting, commenting, and sharing. Based on this insight, the campaign recognized that creating a successful tournament required much more than promoting schedules or match results. The entire event had to become a social experience that students could actively participate in and proudly showcase. When students found the tournament exciting enough to check in, thrilling enough to livestream, meaningful enough to post on their stories, and emotionally engaging enough to discuss with friends, they naturally became its strongest advocates. At that point, the tournament evolved beyond a sporting competition into a defining cultural moment for the student community across social media.

CREATIVE IDEA

The campaign's central creative platform was "Lead the Game." Within the Event category, this idea extended beyond leading on the scoreboard to leading the overall experience, social engagement, and online visibility. Every participant - from athletes and supporters to online viewers - was invited to become part of a larger movement where the emotions generated throughout the event were continuously transformed into social content. To bring this idea to life, the tournament itself was intentionally designed to be inherently shareable. Activities extended far beyond the competitions, evolving into a series of social triggers, including visually striking opening ceremonies, university team entrances, cheering challenges, school-color check-ins, fan cams, reaction booths, MVP moments, real-time scoreboards, short-form highlights, and behind-the-scenes content capturing everything from locker rooms to the grandstands. Every on-site experience was designed to be recorded, shared, and amplified across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and TV360. Through "Lead the Game," the tournament became more than a scheduled event - it became a living student movement unfolding across social media. The strength of the creative idea lay in its ability to deliver both authentic experiences and authentic reasons to share them, turning the event into a continuous source of vibrant, community-driven content.

CONNECTION PLAN

The campaign's engagement strategy followed an online-to-offline-to-online model, ensuring that every on-site activation naturally flowed onto social media while every online conversation encouraged audiences to return to both the event and the TV360 platform. Rather than treating the event and social media as separate communication channels, the campaign integrated them into a single audience journey. Before the tournament, social media was used to build anticipation through university reveal content, countdowns, team declarations, cheering challenges, and teasers highlighting the most anticipated matchups. During the competition, TV360 served as the central platform for livestreams and live match updates, while TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and the TV360 app amplified the experience in real time through short-form highlights, reactions, fan-generated content, quick interviews, grandstand moments, and key match highlights. Content was carefully tailored to each platform to maximize both timeliness and shareability. At the venue, check-in stations, interactive QR activations, minigames, voting activities, fan zones, and story-ready moments empowered attendees to become natural broadcasters of the event. Following the tournament, the campaign sustained momentum through recap content, team recognition, memorable moments, inspirational stories, and community celebration. As a result, the tournament did not end with the final whistle - it continued to thrive across social media as a defining cultural milestone for Vietnam's student generation of 2025.
